REC ROOM VS THEATER ROOM

You want a Theater Room but dont want to have a room just for watching movies.

Rec rooms are usually large and to put an 80" LED TV on the wall doesnt fit in perspective to the room. With front projection you get the size needed and have a fixed screen that gives you that theater feel.

80" TV OR A PROJECTOR SCREEN?

When it comes to decide what size of TV for my room, I am asked about front projection vs big LED TVs.
The cost for a  80" is around 4 to $5000.00. A high quality 80" will be at 11 to $12000.00 The difference is incredible.A front projection system starts at $5000 for a 103" diagonal picture.

Remember the bigger the TV the better the picture is not getting. It only magnifies the picture with all its imperfections.

A front projection system will always give you a better picture and larger size for the money. With Vutec Silver star screen,the room can have light on and you can still watch the movie.

Harmony remote problems

Now that Harmony remotes are not available and you can not get tech support for them it is time to get a better remote control. A remote that you can program and it doesnt need a computer. you can save all programing on your computer if a problem arises.
This great and inexpensive remote is Universal Remote Controls MX450. we offer this remote with programing of up to 10 components and basic on off macros for $350.00.

WHAT ARE YOU REALLY GETTING FOR THAT PRICE?

I just talked to my LG rep and he explained what you really are getting for that Black Friday TV.

Upon opening the back of the LED TV we see no heat sinks which allow heat to dissipate so your TV doesn't overheat and burn up. The power supply is smaller than the standard one. This is very critical!

Just remember you get what you pay for!

This is a great time to upgrade your sound system to HD.

Sonos... how good is it?

Another Happy family today after installing a Sonos system to their old whole house audio keypad system.
The family all had smart phones and ipads and wanted to play their music off of those devices in the home.

You can play right from your phone and ipad all of the downloaded music as a source through that old system.

They loved it.

How easy is it? their 7 year old was using it!

FOOTBALL FANTASY

Getting the look from your wife because you have the TV to Loud?
If you dont have a Surround sound system or it is not set up correctly your are have more of the field noise than the announcers.With just watching the game through the speakers from your flat screen you get left right sound (stereo). All games are in 5 to 1 which is surround sound.This is why you keep turning up the TV to here the announcer!

upgrade your firmware

Always upgrade your firmware?
I have been to a lot of homes lately to replace their old Bluray players due to no picture but have sound.
With the ever changing HDMI cables and their connections, Bluray dvd players will lose their picture or not play the movie if you do not do a firmware upgrade through thier menu.
All new surround receivers have an ethernet input for their firmware upgrade but also to give you internet radio stations.
We install wireless bridges, if you do not have internet at the stereo location.
