Nothing as you know comes for free. and if you read the fine print, you will be surprised what comes with the price.
Most families that get smart home technology rarely use it. My clients rely on the monitoring company to call them if the alarm goes off. They like to control their audio from iphones or ipads .
Also window shades and lighting. but the big whole house lighting is over kill.
