Apple TV is a great way of watching Netflix, Hulu Plus,and TV shows. Now through your iPad /iPhone   your TV is a monitor. Once you share your network you can click on to the TV icon at the bottom right and see what you are viewing on your iPhone/iPad.
Play Music from your iPad/iPhone through your Aplle TV is a great way of using what you already own.
